Can’t Lose Weight?

 

Here are a few reasons why you can’t lose weight:

1) You are not truly honest about eating “Junk food”
The unhealthy snacks that you eat defintely adds up. It is best to be honest with yourself when you cheat and keep track of truly healthy you are truly eating. It is Ok to sneak an unhealthy snack every now and then but make sure that you account for those calories!

2)You are not eating enough
It has been proven that if you eat more smaller meals each day it speeds up your meatbolism. If you do not eat enough calories you body will actually hold onto fat and will slow down your metabolism.

3) Too Much Alcohol
I know that you may love your wine or have your favorite drink that you enjoy but it is important
to limit your alcohol intake. The best low fat drink is vodka mixed with a non-caloric beverage. Moderate drinking is fine but Try to limit yourself to one or two drinks a few times a week.

4) Are you truly Exercising?
It is not enough to eat healthy! Get up and move around. Try to exercise atleast 3-4 times a week. A quick stroll around the block or going up and down the stairs are a easy way to get your exercise in!

5) Watch Out for Cheap Protein Bars and Shakes
Although protein is important for growing lean muscle mass and losing pounds it is important
to keep in mind that weight loss shakes and protein bars are high in sugar, preservatives, and allergens. Try to get your protein naturally by eating nuts, beans, fish, and chicken!

6) Hydrate Yourself
Drink atleast 8-8ounce glasses of water each day. Also drink 8 ounces during your work out. When you are dehydrated your body cannot burn fat! People who drink 17 ox of water before meals lose 44% more weight and boost the amount of calories burned by 24%-30%

7) Be Realistic
You have to give yourself time to lose weight. When you look at celebrities can go to the gym several times a day and have personal trainers. Give yourself time to acheive your weight loss goals.

8) Good Night Sleep
Did you know that if you have issues sleeping and have poor sleep habits your chances of being obese is 55%-85% greater? You should be sleeping 7-9 hours each night.

9) Medical Condition
Some medical conditions will make it hard to lose weight. Also if you are taking prescriptions this will make it even harder to lose weight. Work with your doctor to come up with a plan to help you
lose more weight.

10) You are losing inches
Believe it or not you may be losing inches but may not be losing weight. This often happens when you lose body fat but gain muscle. Don’t focus on the scale but look at your progress.
